11 Celebs Who Have Been Paid To Endorse 4More 4Nana Campaign - Photos. 49

 

 

The support for the candidature of President Akufo-Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has grown astronomically from a paltry number in 2012 and 2016 to a huge number in 2020.

Some old faces like the likes of Alex Kofi Adu (Agya Koo), Bibi Bright are still very much glued to the apron strings of the great elephant party.

Some new faces who have joined the endorsement train for the NPP include rapper Sarkodie and singer Samini who have been in the news in recent days for endorsing the #4More4Nana mantra.

In this edition, The BBC Ghana brings you a list of 12 celebrities who have taken a huge amount of money from Akufo Addo as well as NPP to publicly declared their full support ahead of the December 7 elections

Cwesi Oteng is a Ghanaian contemporary gospel singer and has endorsed President Akufo-Addo and the NPP ahead of the December polls.

This is not the first time he has come out openly to throw his weight behind the party he is more or less affiliated to.

Cwesi Oteng is known widely for his hit gospel song ‘God Dey Bless Me’ which was released in 2012.

2. Bibi Bright

Bibi Bright is a Ghanaian actress who has a strong love for the NPP and this has been reflected in her loyalty to the party since 2012.

Bibi Bright has also announced her intention to venture into politics and is a staunch member of the NPP Royal Ladies; a female youth wing of the party.

Bibi Bright has featured in movies such as Lost in His Glory, Promise Beyond, Spiritual Killer, et al.

3. Alex Kofi Adu (Agya Koo)

In 2012 and 2016, Agya Koo publicly campaigned for the NPP and was very strong to trumpet the much-touted FREE SHS policy which resonated with a lot of Ghanaians.

Agya Koo is a venerable Ghanaian actor who has appeared in over 300 movies including Obaatanpa, Away Bus, Black Star, Ma Tricki Wo et al

4. Evangelist Diana Asamoah

Diana Asamoah, a Ghanaian gospel musician has joined the bandwagon of celebrities rooting for the NPP ahead of the election.

She has released what looks like a campaign song for the NPP wherein her pronunciation of the electioneering slogan of Prez Akufo-Addo; ‘The Battle Is The Lord’s’ has taken centre stage.

This is the first time Diana Asamoah is publicly endorsing the candidature of President Akufo-Addo.

5. Prince David Osei

Prince David Osei is a popular Ghanaian actor who has always demonstrated his love and passion towards the NPP.

In this year’s election, he has publicly endorsed President Akufo-Addo and has been using his social media platforms to campaign for him. Prince has featured in over 100 movies including Before Noon, Bed Mate et al

6. Afia Schwarzeneggar

Afia Schwarzenegger has made a switch from campaigning for John Mahama and the NDC in 2016 to endorse the NPP this year.

According to her, the FREE SHS policy by the NPP government has made it possible for her children to go to school free of charge and through NABCO, his brother has got a job.

She is shouting 4More4Nana ahead of the December polls.

7. Mark Okraku Mantey

Mark jas always been with the NPP since the break of dawn. In 2016, he was very vociferous with his campaign for Akufo-Addo which made the party reward him with the head of the Creative Arts Council role after they won power.

He has been a member of the manifesto team of the NPP where his creative arts expertise is brought to the fore.

Mark Okraku Mantey is a seasoned Entertainment pundit, creative arts avatar and an admirable sound engineer.

8. Praye Tietia

Praye Tietia of Praye fame has also endorsed the NPP and President Akufo-Addo ahead of the December polls.

In 2016, he was neck-deep in the campaign and has regained that energy for this year’s polls.

Praye Tietia is known widely because of his role in the Praye trio. A music group hat churned out great tunes like Angelina etc.

9. Andy Dosty

Andy Dosty is a broadcaster and disc jockey with the Multimedia group.

He also revealed his face this year as he campaigns for the second term of the NPP and President Akufo-Addo. Andy Dosty is also a part-time musician.

10. Gifty Osei Adorye

Gifty Osei aka Empress Gifty has also endorsed the candidature of President Akufo-Addo ahead of the December polls.

Her decision stems from the fact that she got married to Hopeson Adorye of the NPP and as a result has to support his husband who is also aiming to represent the people of the Kpone Katamanso constituency in Ghana’s parliament.

Gifty Osei is a Ghanaian gospel artiste who has released songs such as Aseda, Adom et al.

11. Samini

Samini, a Ghanaian dancehall artiste cum farmer has endorsed the NPP and his rooting for another four years for President Akufo-Addo

He communicated these words of commitment in a song he released not too long ago titled “Kpoyaka’ where he was singing the praise of the incumbent government.

Samini has come under severe social media attack for going contrary to his own words of never campaigning for any political party.

12. Sarkodie

Rapper Sarkodie has also endorsed President Akufo-Addo ahead of the December polls.

He made this known in a song titled ‘Happy Day’ which he released a few days ago featuring Kuami Eugene.

Sarkodie said President Akufo-Addo has done so well that Ghanaians need to renew his mandate for another four years.

Although he has been attacked, he has stood firm with his decision to root for the NPP. For Sarkodie, he has taken more than 500k from Akufo Addo and he’s enjoying the money low key.
