Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Public Sector Reforms, Mr.Thomas Kusi Boafo has said that no form of greed by appointees in the second term of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will be countenanced.

According to him, the Dankwa, Busia, Donbo Tradition which they follow did not become rich by being corrupt in their political offices but rather had their own businesses they run so he expects that appointees will not abuse their offices.

To him, politics is not a career to maximize wealth like some people think and therefore he and others will do all they can to ensure that corrupt persons are outed from their offices

He indicated that political appointees need to rate their performances and ensure that whatever they do is in line with the party’s project of breaking the 8-year cycle.

“If we don’t stop the bad behaviour and behave the way the Dankwa, Busia, Dombo tradition we inherited behaved, 2024 will be an uphill task for us. I don’t want that to happen to the party. So instead of sitting aloof and watching unconcerned, we will fight. If they don’t agree, what they will say is that they will sack Kusi Boafo. But when they sack me I will go to my village to work.

Dankwa, Busia, Dombo never became rich through the political offices they were occupying, they had their own jobs that gave them the money. So if you are entering politics remember that you need your own job that will fetch you money. Politics is not a career to maximize wealth,” he said while speaking on Accra-based Peace FM.

He indicated that if the appointees are not checked on, it may go a long way to affect the party’s project of breaking the 8 cycle in the 2024 election.
