Suraya AliduThe former gold trading company, Menzgold, is claiming that a significant number of claims submitted by aggrieved customers contained inconsistencies, rendering 60 percent of the claims ineligible for settlement.
An August 20, 2023 statement signed by CEO, Nana Appiah Mensah said the situation and other concerns raised by some customers makes it difficult for them to continue the “production and printing of PVC Digital Access Cards which imposes a cost burden and shall resort to the printing of the PIN Codes only, for onward distribution at no cost.”
The company earlier claimed to have fulfilled its financial obligations to more than 5000 customers, but the recent statement clarifies details of the previous communication.
The dealership is therefore proposing that customers who had funds tied up should enroll for a fee of 650 cedis to determine their eligibility for reimbursements.
