'Stop fussing! Publicising one's cast ballot is not a sin'- Wontumi defends Youth organiser 60

The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako has downplayed the seriousness of his Youth organiser’s decision to show his ballot paper after casting his vote at the KNUST polling center.

The Ashanti youth organiser, Raphael Sarfo’s vote was invalidated by the electoral commission when he showed to the public who he voted for after casting his vote, a move that nearly resulted in the cancellation of the whole exercise.

Many, including the Alan Kyeremateng camp have publicly condemned Raphael’s action as it is against the electoral rules of the country. But reacting to the situation, Chairman Wontumi indicated people are making a fuss about a ‘trivial issue’.

“This is not a sin. It takes a few minutes to take a good or bad decision but what he did was not a crime.”

Raphael is a “very dynamic youth organiser, and I love him so much.”

He didn’t fight anyone at the center, not did anything grave at the center, so let’s rather concentrate on how successful the whole exercise has been and stop talking about the action of the youth organiser.
