A/R: 2 dead; others injured in Kotwi-Nkoranza road accident

An accident has occurred at Kotwi-Nkoranza road in the Ashanti Region, claiming two lives with several others reported injured.

The two according to reports, died on the spot when a Sprinter bus with registration number AS 3540-14 somersaulted 3 times after the tyre bursted.

The accident occurred on Friday May 8, 2020 around 11:30am.

An eyewitness Kofi Adu who narrated the unfortunate incident to Pure Fm’s Osei Kwadwo said “the Sprinter bus was coming from Manso Nkwanta to Kumasi”.

“The over speeding Sprinter bus driver lost control when the trye bursted. The drivers couldn’t control the situation because of the speed. Two male died on the spot and about 6 people injured” Kofi Adu said.

“It took the intervention of the residents and workers around the scene to remove the dead bodies and those in the car”

The remains have been deposited at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary with the injured receiving treatment.
