Akufo-Addo takes first jab of COVID-19 vaccine; rallies Ghanaians to do same

The President of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his wife Rebecca Akufo-Addo have taken their jab of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The two took their Jab on March 1 at the 37 Military Hospital on March 1, 2021.

At the short ceremony that to give the President his jab, the Health Minister called on Ghanaians to support the programme but taking their jabs in order to return the country to normalcy.

On his part, the President noted that Ghana has been through turmoil in the past year and it’s imperative for the people of the country to support the vaccination programme.

The President said it’s important that he sets an example with by taking the jab first in order to clear all doubts about the vaccines.

Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo reminded Ghanaians of the need to continue to exercise all other protocols in order to prevent the spread of the disease.
