FrimpongEastern Regional Communications Director of the ruling New Patriotic Party has stated that the party will not tolerate the NDC’s violence and hooliganism tendencies in the Region.
Speaking on Happy Fm late afternoon political show yesterday 19th March 2020, Mr. David Prah hinted that the youth and the people in the Eastern Region are ready to deal with rootlessly any group of individuals who will disrupt the peaceful NIA Registration process going on in the Region.
He mentioned that the NIA and the MMDCEs have put in place proper strategies such adhering to the President’s directives of not more than 25 persons at a gathering, spacing of seats, provision of veronica buckets with liquid soaps at the centres and the usage of alcohol based hand sanitizers among other Protocols to ensure smooth Registration.
The fire brand Communicator stated that the NDC’s call for the halt of the NIA Registration in the Region is borne out of propaganda and evil intentions not only targeting the NIA’s Registration process but that of the EC’s Registration which is yet to be done.
He mentioned that all 15 Regions have benefited from the Ghana Card Registration except the Eastern Region.
He said the Region won’t tolerate any group that have any evil intentions to violently disrupt the process. He quoted Professor Ken Attafuah, the NIA Chief Executive to have stated that NIA will review its activities in the Region when they deemed it necessary.
Mr. Prah therefore call on the well meaning Ghanaians to disregard the call to halt the NIA’s registration process by the opposition NDC and focus on the directives given by authorities while they register smoothly without any hitches.
