The Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance with immediate effect. The development comes less than seven months after his appointment in January 2025, sparking discussion within public sector circles about the sudden change.

Although government has not officially explained the move, sources at the Jubilee House suggest it is part of a wider reshuffle aimed at aligning key appointments with Ghana’s current economic management priorities.

Information available to Myjoyonline.com indicates that challenges relating to delays in the posting of new National Service Personnel also played a role in the decision.

Felix Gyamfi was appointed by President John Dramani Mahama as Acting Director-General of the NSA effective 22nd January 2025. His appointment was confirmed in a letter signed by Callistus Mahama, Secretary to the President.

The appointment was made under Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution and in line with the National Service Authority Act, 2024 (Act 1119), which established the new Authority.

His reassignment marks an early shift in leadership at the NSA as government pushes to strengthen economic management through strategic postings across ministries.
