A Divine Interruption

Before the sacred white robes and spiritual authority, Numo Akwaa Mensah III, who is the Highest Ga Chief Priest, was a man with modern ambitions. He taught in classrooms for over 13 years, styled hair and nails, and even specialized in Information Technology. But in a twist of fate, his path was abruptly diverted, not by man, but by the gods of Ga land.

In an exclusive interview with Adubia TV, the Highest Chief Priest of Ga State revealed the mysterious turn his life took, one that thrust him into ancient responsibility and stripped him of a once “normal” life.

“I wasn’t prepared,” Numo confessed. “There was only a few days’ notice. I had to abandon everything I was working for.” “I thought my life was shattered when the message came,” he admits. “I was on a different path. But the gods don’t knock, they enter.”

Though priesthood was a birthright within his lineage, Numo Akwaa Mensah III, the highest Chief Priest of the Ga Land, never saw it coming. His father’s words changed everything: “The gods have chosen you.” According to tradition, the family’s spiritual consultations affirmed the divine appointment. What followed was a swift and sacred transition.

“There was no room for regrets,” he said. “I knew this was bigger than me. This was the purpose.” But the new role came at a cost, one that altered not just his daily routines, but his very essence.

His family lineage held the ancient spiritual rights of the Ga priesthood. But Numo never imagined he would be the one chosen. The announcement came suddenly, with spiritual confirmations from across the land. There was no debate. No delay.  “The gods had spoken,” his father told him. “And when they speak, we obey.”
