A truck fully loaded with bags of rice lost control and rammed into people at Ibaka market in Akungba , Akoko, Ondo State on Saturday evening, October 31.
Reports have it that the truck was descending from a hill at Ikare when the brake failed.
It was gathered that about eight people were confirmed dead while many suffered various degrees of injuries.
According to Sahara Reporters, an eyewitness stated that a woman who was until her death a trader was crushed with two of her children.
A police image maker named Tee Leo Ikoro, however told Vanguard News that eight bodies were recovered from under the truck.
