Ghana confirmed its first two cases of the deadly CODVID-19 on Thursday 12, March 2020. The Ministry of Health together with Information ministry released a press statement to caution all Ghanaians on the new development.
The information Minister Kojo Oppong Nkrumah speaking in an interview on Onua Fm has challenged anyone who doesn’t believe there have been two recorded cases of COVID-19 in Ghana to find the victims quarantined, hug them and watch the consequences.
His statements come after speculations fast spreading across the country which states that the ruling government had all this planned out just to misuse the $100 Million allocated for the combat of CODVID-19 for their campaign in the upcoming elections.
Mr. Oppong Nkrumah stated that the two victims have been in the country for about a week with one of them being a Ghanaian who came back to Turkey.
He further explained that efforts are being made to trace persons they may have contacted whilst in the country.
