Government’s free water ends today June 30- Statement Issued by GWCL

The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) says the government’s payment of water bills for all Ghanaians as part of the COVID-19 interventions will end today (Tuesday, June 30, 2020).

In a statement issued by the GWCL dated June 29, 2020, said the directive to serve ‘free water’ will end in the month of June.

It continued to say that vendors could resume their normal business after the last meter readings in June.

Government of Ghana absorbed the water bills for all Ghanaians for the months of April, May, and June as part of measures to mitigate the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

It is based on this that the GWCL started the free water delivery and is, therefore, reminding all Ghanaians that the directive will end today.
