Member of Parliament of Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has disclosed that he is the source behind the arrest of Bishop Obinim.
A few days ago, the Founder and Leader of International God’s Way Church, Bishop Obinim was arrested by the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) of the Ghana Police over a false publication of news.
According to a statement issued by the police, Obinim has been charged with the offences of Publication of false news and Forgery of documents contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other offences Act, 1960 ( ACT 29) respectively.
Kennedy Agyapong speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Hello FM, he revealed that he has forwarded the case to EOCO.
He further urged Ghanaians to stop following pastors like Obinim for spiritual guidance and focus on their business.
Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has revealed that the leader and founder of International God’s Way Church Bishop Daniel Obinim aka Angel Obinim is still behind bars.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, Obinim can not afford the GH¢ 100,000 bail,the reason he is still behind bars.
He made this revelation while speaking on ‘The Seat’ show aired on NET2 on Wednesday 20th May 2020.
The vociferous MP disclosed that Obinim has been bragging that he is the richest Ghanaian pastor but cannot afford to pay GH¢ 100,000 ordered by the magistrate court.
This revelation by Kennedy Agyapong seems to rubbish reports that Bishop Obinim has been out of police custody.
