Renowned music producer Kaywa has showered praises on the late Daddy Lumba, describing him as the true embodiment of music. He emphasized that Lumba’s understanding of sound, tone, and rhythm was unmatched in Ghana’s music history.
Kaywa revealed that although Daddy Lumba never played any musical instrument, he had an incredible grasp of chord progressions and how each instrument should sound in his compositions. He explained that Lumba’s genius was in his ear for detail and his ability to create timeless melodies.
According to him, Lumba’s excellence lay in how he communicated his ideas to producers and musicians, ensuring his music came out exactly how he envisioned. To Kaywa, that level of artistry made Daddy Lumba more than just a singer — he was a musical institution.
Beyond his musical tribute, Kaywa also addressed the recent dispute surrounding the musician’s wives. He advised them to embrace unity and resolve their differences peacefully, emphasizing that love and harmony should prevail even in the wake of loss.
Kaywa concluded that Daddy Lumba’s legacy goes beyond his songs; it’s also about the love and inspiration he left behind, which should be reflected in how those closest to him treat one another.
