President John Dramani Mahama will commemorate his first anniversary in office on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, with a Non-Denominational Thanksgiving Service to be held at the Forecourt of the Jubilee House in Accra.
Scheduled to begin at 8:00 a.m., the ceremony is expected to draw a broad cross-section of national and international figures, including religious leaders, senior government officials, members of the diplomatic community, and invited guests.
Organised under the theme “Resetting. Rebuilding. Renewing.”, the service is designed as a moment of national reflection and gratitude, acknowledging the country’s stability over the past year while reinforcing the administration’s vision for renewal and inclusive governance.
The thanksgiving event forms a key part of activities marking President Mahama’s first year since assuming office and highlights the government’s emphasis on unity, collective responsibility, and recommitment to national development as it moves into its second year.
