Desert ManMethodist Senior High Technical School, Berekum, has secured a well-deserved spot in the 2025 National Science and Math’s Quiz (NSMQ) national championship after dominating the first contest of the Bono regional qualifiers held at the Sunyani SHS.
The school put up a stellar performance across all four rounds, finishing with 38 points to emerge winners of the contest. This marks their second-ever qualification to the national championship, having made their debut just two years ago in 2023.
Nafana Presby SHS, who have made at least three appearances at the national level in previous editions, placed second with 18 points. Koase SHTS followed closely with 16 points, while Our Lady of Providence SHS and Mansen SHS finished with 15 and 13 points, respectively.
This opening contest is one of four scheduled for today in the Bono Region, as the NSMQ 2025 regional qualifiers kick off nationwide.
The venue at Sunyani SHS came alive with excitement as students and supporters rallied behind their teams in a charged atmosphere filled with anticipation and pride.
Methodist SHTS, Berekum, with this victory, not only qualifies for the national championship but also advances to the Bono Regional Finals, where they will compete for regional supremacy and momentum heading into the national stage
