Hunger Is Making It Difficult for the Youth to Worship God – Perez Musik

Perez Musik says economic hardship is making it hard for many young people to focus on worship and serve God wholeheartedly.

Gospel musician Perez Musik has expressed concern over the growing difficulty young people face in maintaining their faith due to increasing levels of hunger and economic hardship. He observed that the financial struggles confronting many youths today are gradually affecting their spiritual lives and their ability to focus on worship.

According to the artiste, genuine worship comes from a place of peace and gratitude, but for many young people, survival has become their primary concern. The pressures of joblessness, high living costs, and limited opportunities have left them exhausted and distracted from spiritual devotion.

Perez Musik, while speaking in an interview with Doreen Avio and Kwame Dadzie on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz show, noted that hunger not only affects physical well-being but also weakens the spirit.

Many youths, he said, attend church burdened with financial worries, making it hard to connect emotionally or spiritually during worship. He believes that when basic needs remain unmet, it becomes difficult to find joy and strength in the things of God.

To him, spiritual guidance must go hand in hand with social and economic empowerment to help the youth live out their faith meaningfully.

Perez Musik’s reflection serves as a call to action for both the church and society to pay closer attention to the challenges facing young people. He believes that addressing their physical needs is an essential step toward restoring genuine worship and spiritual revival among the youth.
