he Ghana Police Service has successfully foiled a robbery attempt targeting a gold consignment valued at over GHC 1.3 million, arresting three suspects believed to be behind the plot.
The suspects, identified as Adams Zibo, Massawud Yussif, and Kenneth Khartey, were apprehended on Thursday, June 26, 2025, during a coordinated, intelligence-led operation along the Accra–Akuapem–Mamfe road.
According to police sources, the operation began on Wednesday, June 25, after intelligence indicated that a driver working for a gold dealer and a man posing as his bodyguard had conspired to rob the dealer during a scheduled delivery the following day.
