The Government of Ghana has announced plans to hold a state funeral for the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Independence Square in Accra.

According to a statement signed by Minister for Government Communications and Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the event is being organized under the auspices of President John Mahama.

The Presidency described the state funeral as a national tribute in recognition of Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings’ immense contributions to women’s rights, children’s welfare, and Ghana’s overall development.

Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at Ridge Hospital in Accra at age 76.
