The ongoing exploitation in Africa.

This is one of the reason why Africa is not succeeding.

1. Colonization: European powers such as Britain, France, and Portugal colonized and controlled many African countries during the 19th and early 20th centuries. This enabled them to extract resources such as minerals, oil, and agricultural products, and to establish trading systems that benefited European businesses and governments at the expense of African economies.
2. Resource extraction: European countries have continued to exploit Africa’s natural resources, often with little benefit to the local population. For example, Western companies have extracted oil and minerals from African countries, while paying little in taxes and providing few local jobs or infrastructure improvements.
