AdubianewsManagement of the Takoradi Technical University (TTU) has refuted media reports suggesting disturbances on its campus involving students and officers of the Ghana Police Service.
In a statement issued on Thursday, September 18, 2025, and signed by the Registrar, Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory, the University described the claims as “false, misleading, and should be disregarded.”
According to the release, there has been no unrest at TTU, stressing that the campus remains calm, secure, and dedicated to its mandate of teaching, learning, and research.
The statement further noted that TTU continues to uphold its reputation as a peaceful centre of academic excellence and institutional integrity. Management urged media outlets to verify information with the University’s Directorate of Public Affairs before publication to avoid misrepresentation.
Reassuring students, staff, parents, and stakeholders, the University emphasized that the institution remains safe, stable, and conducive for academic work, research, and innovation.
