The Ghana Immigration Service at Mognori Border Post together with Operation Conquered Fist have arrested 16 Nigeriennes and 5 Ghanaians who attempted to cross border illegally.
According to the officers, the Ghanaians Okada riders who were taking the Nigeriennes through unapproved route into the country were apprehended at Bansi ,Yarigungu and Bador Gumakutar at 2:00am in the upper East Region-Bawku.
The five Ghanaians were apprehended with 3 unregistered motor bike,2 Hajin Motor, 2 Royal motor and one jangle Moto.
Officer-In change of Mognori Border Post ASI. Rockson Akanbang in an interview with the Media said this is the first time such incident has happened.
He added that his officers are making effort to prevent such incidents from happening and protect Ghana as whole.
