AdubianewsTwo individuals, a driver’s mate and a butcher, have been sentenced to a total of 46 years in prison with hard labour by the Wa Circuit Court for conspiracy to commit robbery and robbery.
The convicts, Abdulai Ibrahim, also known as Baba, aged 34, and Abdulai Kipo, aged 36, received prison terms of 28 years and 18 years, respectively. Ibrahim worked as a driver’s mate, while Kipo is identified as a butcher.
According to an official Ghana Police Service statement, the two men were behind a series of violent robberies in several areas within the Wa Municipality, including Napogbakole, Danko, SSNIT, and Konta.
Their arrest followed an intelligence-led operation carried out by the Regional Police Intelligence Directorate, which also involved extensive evidence collection and surveillance. The successful investigation led to their prosecution and sentencing.
The police continue to urge the public to remain vigilant and to report suspicious activities to support the fight against robbery and other violent crimes.
