AdubianewsA woman has landed in police custody in Madina after allegedly stealing cash from a shop under the pretense of making a large purchase.
According to reports, she entered the shop and requested goods amounting to GHS7,000, claiming they were for her mini retail business. Once the items were selected and packed, she informed the shop owner that she needed to step out briefly to withdraw money since she wasn’t carrying physical cash.
Her behavior raised suspicion shortly after she exited the premises. The shop owner decided to inspect the area and discovered that some money had gone missing. A swift pursuit followed, leading to her arrest not far from the shop.
The stolen cash was found in her possession, confirming the shop owner’s fears. She was then turned over to the Madina Police for further investigation into the theft.
