Opambour in a recent video addressed Ghanaians on why they shouldn’t legalize the trending LGBTQI.
He also took the opportunity to fire shots at the president of Catholic Bishops Conference for fighting the rights of gays.

The President of the Ghana Catholic Bishop Conference, Most Reverend Philip Naameh has pleaded with Ghanaians to come to terms with respecting the rights of homosexuals.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Abusua FM, the clergyman stated that he knows very well that the Catholic Bishop Conference frowns on the sexual orientation choices of LGBTQI+ persons in Ghana.
However, Ghanaians must learn to respect their rights.
“Ghanaians should have a clear distinction between the things of the people and the people themselves, the Lesbian and Gay people, they are human persons so we need to respect them. We need to accord them those rights that also all human beings enjoy. It is not because they are homosexuals that they should be refused to be given employment, they should be refused to be given places to live and all that. There are values that they also have a right to and we say that those rights should be given them but not those things which are against our culture and against God’s will.” He revealed.
The Host Kojo Marfo asked him to clarify his stance on the LGBTQ+ legalisation in Ghana.
In response, Bishop Naameh stated that “It is not because they are homosexuals that they should be refused employment if they are qualified for it. Someone may have an orientation to be a gay and another an orientation to be a lesbian but if he’s not acting out this orientation, first of all he is a human being and has the right to accommodation, to work and to communion with other people and those are rights we should respect.
We just don’t say that because he has homosexual tendencies whereas all human beings have a right to something, he should be denied it.”
