She added that President Akufo-Addo should be sworn in as President of the Republic as there is limited time to compile new voters register among others.
She went ahead to form the National Democratic Party (NDC), and has since been an avid critic of the NDC.
She explained that the NDC lost focus whiles in power, insisting the foundations of decency on which the party was built were no more.
“I am happy there is a change… I am very happy…because you can’t have a situation where we claim to be doing well, calling ourselves lower-middle income group, and in a miserable situation,” Mrs. Agyeman-Rawlings stated.
She further took a swipe at the NDC following complaints from their members that the ruling party has not done enough to transform the country since being voted to power.
She said the opposition party cannot expect the ruling NPP to use 100 days to fix an economy which was destroyed in eight years.
“A party has taken eight years to destroy us and you expect somebody to use 100 days to fix it?” she rhetorically asked.
