In the past week or so we’ve heard stories of two women suffering this sad fate.
The latest story is of a lady known as Yesutor Elizabeth Akpalu.
Elizabeth was a Level 300 student of the Evangelical Presbyterian University College in Ho. She recently died after allegedly suffering abuse from her boyfriend, Kumah Philip Ceasar, who is the Deputy Director of Youth Employment Agency (YEA) at Akatsi North.
Myjoyonline reports that Elizabeth was rushed by friends to the Ho Teaching Hospital Sunday after complaining of chest pains but she unfortunately didn’t survive.
Friends of the deceased told the media they believe she was assaulted by Philip and the injuries caused her death. One friend said they had exchanged messages over the abuse she suffered at the hands of her boyfriend.
In December, she also reported similar abuse to the police but the matter was sent home to be settled amicably.
After her death, Philip has been picked up by the police to assist in investigations.
After her tragic passing, more photos of Elizabeth has hit the web.
