A welfare bus belonging to the Ghana Police Service in the Oti Region has been involved in an accident leaving 6 officers who were occupants of the bus with various degrees of injuries.
According to information MyNewsGh.com gathers, the bus was transporting 24 officers from Dambai to Huhunya, in the Eastern Region for high risk and confidence-building operation training.
However, upon reaching a section of the road at Anfoega, the vehicle ran into a ditch when the driver tried to avoid a head-on collision with a vehicle that has stopped abruptly on the road.
The accident caused some damage on the welfare bus as well as a commercial Hyundai grace bus.
Meanwhile, six(6) injured officers were rushed to Anfoega Roman Catholic hospital for treatment.
