Desmond Kwesi Blackmore, popularly known as D-Black, has revealed that Joey B and S3fa are the biggest musicians he has signed to his record label, Black Avenue Muzik.
In a candid interview with Zionfelix, the rapper and label CEO shared that while he has signed many talents over the years, Joey B and S3fa stand out as his most successful acts since the label’s inception.
D-Black also explained that he has signed multiple artists at once, sometimes up to five, but most eventually leave due to differing personal goals and ambitions.
When asked about his reaction to Joey B’s departure, D-Black emphasized that he always allows his artists the freedom to build their own teams, as he balances his career as an active musician. He believes this independence prevents conflicts between him and his signees.
Despite Joey B’s exit, D-Black considers him one of the label’s major success stories and did not feel the need to persuade him to stay, respecting his decision to move on.
