Ace journalist Gifty Anti has joined calls for a Nationwide lockdown of the country following the confirmation of some Five Hundred and Sixty-Six (566) cases of COVID-19 in the country.
Gifty Anti, who tested negative for the virus after being kept in mandatory quarantine following her arrival into the country from the UK, took to her facebook page to appealed to President Akufo-Addo to impose a total lockdown to prevent especially, the community spread of the virus.
“Dear People of God, I think at this rate , I am compelled to join those calling for a total lock down. What? What is wrong with us? My people, when I got to UK on 10th March, 2020, there were 16 deaths. As at the time I was leaving on 22nd March, 2020, the total number of deaths, was close to 2,000”
“Mr. President, we can no longer do business as usual. I think you are over pampering us, Mr. President. We will be the same people to blame and accuse you if this virus claim more lives. Please, Something has to change and immediately too.”
