AdubianewsThe General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Justin Frimpong Kodua, has issued a heartfelt apology to Ghanaians, admitting to shortcomings during the party’s time in government. He assured the public that if given another mandate, the NPP would not repeat the mistakes of its past administration.
Speaking in an interview on Channel One TV on Wednesday, June 19, Mr Kodua acknowledged that while the NPP made important progress during its tenure, it fell short in several critical areas. He emphasized that the party is not oblivious to its failings and accepts full responsibility for them.
Mr Kodua explained that the party has embarked on a period of self-reflection and internal reform following its loss in the 2024 general elections, after two consecutive terms in office. He described this period as essential for evaluating their performance and preparing for a stronger, more accountable return to governance.
He reaffirmed the NPP’s readiness to learn from past errors and improve its approach to leadership. According to him, the party is committed to building on its achievements and avoiding the pitfalls that led to its electoral defeat. The General Secretary called on Ghanaians to consider the party’s renewed sense of purpose and grant them the opportunity to make amends in the future.
