A concerned resident of Ashaiman-Washington has sounded the alarm over a dangerous safety situation involving a slanted electricity pole.
In a widely circulated video, the man expressed shock after discovering that a shop had been constructed directly around the unstable pole, posing a serious risk to lives and property in the area.
He criticized the decision to erect a structure in such a precarious location, describing it as reckless and irresponsible. The man lamented that while the public is quick to blame the government in the event of accidents or disasters, many citizens continue to ignore basic safety measures that could prevent such incidents in the first place.
The video has since sparked public concern, with calls for immediate intervention from relevant authorities. Residents are urging the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the municipal assembly to inspect the site and ensure the removal or relocation of the structure before a potential tragedy occurs.
