Ghanaian Highlife musician Kwaisey Pee has shared an emotional account of his early life struggles, revealing how poverty and abandonment shaped his journey. Speaking on Okay FM with host Nana Romeo, the renowned artiste opened up about moments of deep hardship that many fans had never heard before.

Kwaisey Pee disclosed that during his childhood, he often had to go to bed hungry. In one painful memory, he recalled walking down the street feeling extremely famished when he noticed some fowls eating a piece of corn. Driven by hunger and desperation, he chased the birds away and took the corn for himself.

“I was so hungry. I had no food, and my father had traveled. I had no option,” he revealed during the interview.

He explained that he faced these challenges without the support of his mother, who had left him at a very young age. Kwaisey Pee added that he never experienced her presence throughout most of his life until much later when she reappeared.

Despite these early life struggles, Kwaisey Pee has risen to become one of Ghana’s respected Highlife musicians. His story serves as a powerful reminder of the strength it takes to overcome adversity and build success from humble beginnings.

His revelation has touched many fans who admire not just his music but also his resilience and honesty.
