AdubianewsGhana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, have arrived in Siaida, Morocco, to finalize preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), set to kick off in the coming days.
The Queens made the journey from Benslimane to Siaida on Monday, June 30, donning their vibrant team attire as excitement builds for the long-awaited tournament. Ghana is drawn in Group C, where they will face defending champions South Africa, as well as Mali and Tanzania in a competitive lineup.
The Black Queens will open their campaign against South Africa on Monday, July 7, followed by a clash with Mali on July 11, before rounding off the group stage with a match against Tanzania on July 14.
With three previous finals appearances ending in disappointment, the team is determined to make history by winning their first-ever WAFCON title.
The tournament, initially delayed, promises high-stakes action, and Ghana’s squad will be looking to prove their strength and resilience on the continental stage.
