President John Mahama is set to visit the Western North Region on Monday, July 15, 2025, as part of his ongoing nationwide thank you tour following his resounding victory in the December 2024 general elections.

As part of the visit, the President will address a grand durbar at Juaboso, the regional capital. The event is expected to attract traditional leaders, heads of departments, Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), and enthusiastic members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

A statement signed by George Ofori Danquah, Western North Regional Secretary of the NDC, instructed all constituency executives to collaborate with their respective Members of Parliament and MMDCEs to ensure massive mobilisation for the occasion.

“All constituency executives are hereby directed to coordinate with their MPs and MMDCEs to ensure a massive turnout at the Juaboso durbar grounds,” the statement emphasized.

The Western North Region has remained one of the NDC’s electoral strongholds, with the party securing eight out of nine parliamentary seats in the 2024 polls. The durbar will serve both as a celebration of victory and a reaffirmation of the party’s grassroots strength.

President Mahama’s thank you tour has already taken him to several regions where he has used the opportunity to express gratitude, reconnect with supporters, and emphasize his vision for inclusive development.

The Juaboso durbar promises to be a vibrant political gathering, with thousands expected to welcome the President and reaffirm their support for his administration.
