Media personality Andy Dosty has shared a shocking story about how he was falsely accused of impregnating a woman, only to discover it was a case of mistaken identity and impersonation.
Speaking in a recent interview, Andy recounted that the incident happened while he was working in Kumasi. He was informed by the office receptionist that someone was asking to see him. Curious, he stepped out to meet the visitor—a woman who, at first glance, seemed confused.
According to Andy, the lady immediately denied knowing him and claimed he wasn’t the person she had come to find. However, the receptionist pressed further and asked if she was indeed looking for Andy Dosty, and she confirmed. The receptionist then told her, “Well, this is the Andy Dosty you’re looking for.”
When Andy inquired about the reason for her visit, the woman’s mother, who had accompanied her, dropped a bombshell: they were there because “Andy Dosty” had allegedly impregnated the young woman.
Andy, stunned by the accusation, explained that it quickly became clear he was being confused with an impersonator, someone falsely using his name and identity. He described the situation as bizarre and distressing, especially given the seriousness of the claim.
The media icon emphasized how impersonation can lead to reputational damage and urged the public to be cautious of individuals falsely posing as celebrities or public figures.
