As the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares for its crucial national delegates’ conference on Saturday, July 19, presidential hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has called on delegates to make choices that genuinely reflect the aspirations of the grassroots and the wider Ghanaian population.

In a heartfelt message posted on Facebook, the former Assin Central MP underscored the importance of electing leaders who resonate with the people’s concerns.

“I am pleading with you to take the right decision that reflects the views of Ghanaians and the delegates, especially the grassroots, they are the voice of the people and we should listen to them,” he appealed.

Agyapong further emphasized that decisions made at the conference could shape the NPP’s future electoral success. “So I am pleading with all the delegates to make the right decision to help this party win the 2028 election,” he stated.

The Accra-based conference will bring together thousands of party delegates to elect new leaders and set the tone for the NPP’s campaign leading to the 2028 general election. Agyapong is one of four aspirants vying for the flagbearer position, alongside former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Notably, Agyapong left a strong impression during the 2023 delegates’ conference, earning significant support across multiple regions. His latest call to action seeks to rally grassroots support and influence outcomes in a party where internal democracy remains crucial to electoral viability.
