AdubianewsChief of Staff Julius Debrah has disclosed that the government has already begun implementing the 24-hour economy policy. According to him, the initiative is not a distant plan but a practical policy aimed at improving national productivity.
He explained that the core of the 24-hour economy is about increasing efficiency and ensuring that businesses and industries contribute more to Ghana’s growth by operating beyond the usual working hours.
Mr. Debrah further noted that the government is making arrangements to support companies willing to adopt multiple shifts. This, he said, would encourage enterprises to expand their operations and employ more people.
As part of the plan, government intends to introduce incentives for businesses that boldly commit to round-the-clock operations. These measures are expected to ease the burden of transition while making the policy attractive to the private sector.
He emphasized that the success of the 24-hour economy depends on collaboration between the state and the private sector. By supporting businesses that embrace the initiative, Ghana can create more jobs and accelerate industrialisation.
Mr. Debrah reaffirmed that the government remains committed to creating an enabling environment for the policy to thrive. He urged companies to take advantage of the opportunities the 24-hour economy presents for growth, innovation, and national development.
