A grieving woman has broken down in tears as she pleaded with President John Mahama to intervene in the ongoing land conflict at Gbiniyiri, a farming community in the Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District of the Savannah Region. The clashes have so far claimed at least five lives.
The distressed woman recounted that the violence had left her family shattered, with one relative killed, her mother forced to flee into the bush, and a sibling still missing. She described the situation as unbearable and called on the president to step in urgently.
According to her, only swift intervention from the highest level of leadership can halt what she described as needless killings and restore peace to the troubled community.
Her heartfelt appeal adds to growing calls for government and security agencies to intensify efforts to address the conflict and bring lasting stability to Gbiniyiri.
