AdubianewsPolice have arrested four individuals who allegedly posed as National Security operatives in an attempt to stop a demolition exercise by the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly.
According to reports, the suspects arrived at the demolition site and claimed they were acting under official instructions. Their interference, however, raised doubts among the assembly officials and the legitimate security personnel present at the scene.
Upon further questioning, the men were unable to provide any form of identification or documentation linking them to the National Security Secretariat, leading to their immediate arrest.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, while authorities work to determine their motives and any possible affiliations.
The police have since cautioned the public to be vigilant and to verify the identity of anyone claiming to represent state security agencies, especially during official operations.
