Ghanaian singer Sista Afia has revealed that she once hit a fan with her microphone after being touched inappropriately before a performance.
Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, the Jeje hitmaker shared that the incident occurred when she was about to mount the stage. She explained that the fan crossed the line by touching her without consent, an act she found extremely disrespectful and infuriating.
According to her, the reaction was spontaneous as she felt violated, leading her to strike the fan with the microphone, which reportedly resulted in the fan being taken to the hospital for treatment.
Sista Afia further noted that she strongly dislikes being touched without her permission, emphasizing the importance of respecting personal boundaries, especially during public events.
The singer’s revelation has since sparked discussions on social media, with many fans debating the issue of consent and how celebrities should handle such situations.
