Ghana’s Black Queens have climbed five places in the latest FIFA women’s world rankings, moving from 67th to 62nd after a remarkable run of form since August.
On the African continent, the team now ranks third, behind defending champions Nigeria and South Africa.
The Queens secured their spot at the 2026 WAFCON with an emphatic 7–0 aggregate victory over Egypt, continuing an impressive stretch in which their only loss came against world No. 4 England in a friendly earlier this month.
With qualification secured, the Black Queens will now turn their attention to preparations for the continental showpiece, set to take place from 17 March to 3 April 2026 in Morocco.
