The Ghana Police Service has interdicted five officers for misconduct relating to the unauthorised use of official police uniforms on social media platforms.

The affected officers are No. 45545 G/Sgt. Samuel Agbemanyale, No. 50300 G/Cpl. Isaac Pipere, No. 51816 G/Cpl. Samuel Agbo, No. 56803 G/Cpl. Charles Oduro, and No. 14494 PW/Const. Elizabeth Dicka Korkor.

A press release issued by the Public Affairs Directorate at the Police Headquarters in Accra on December 16, 2025, said the interdictions followed findings of multiple breaches linked to how the officers displayed and used police attire online.

Referred for Further Action

According to the statement, the officers have been referred to the Police Professional Standards Bureau (PPSB) for further investigations and the application of appropriate disciplinary measures.

The Service emphasised that the interdiction is an administrative step to allow investigations to proceed without interference.

Police Issue Strong Warning

The Ghana Police Service reiterated its commitment to professional conduct, discipline and ethical standards, cautioning officers against actions that could undermine the image, integrity and public confidence in the Service.

Personnel were also reminded to exercise restraint and professionalism on social media, stressing that misuse of police uniforms or symbols online will attract strict disciplinary sanctions.
