Felix Kwakye Ofosu addressing government accountability efforts

The government is preparing to take two decisive steps this week that place accountability and national strategy at the forefront of public discourse.

Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, disclosed that the Attorney-General and Minister for Justice will today publicly disclose details of a major corruption investigation involving a politically exposed person.

The announcement, made via a Facebook post on Monday, December 22, signals what is expected to be one of the most closely watched moments under the government’s Accountability Series. The briefing is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., and is anticipated to attract significant national attention due to the stature of the individual implicated.

Mr Kwakye Ofosu said the move reflects the administration’s commitment to lifting the veil on sensitive corruption cases and keeping the public informed on matters of national interest.

Attention will then shift on Tuesday, December 23, to Ghana’s aviation ambitions, as the National Airline Task Force presents its findings to the President. The report is expected to shape the next phase of discussions around the establishment of a national carrier.

Together, the two engagements underline the government’s broader agenda of strengthening transparency, reinforcing public trust, and advancing strategic initiatives deemed critical to Ghana’s development trajectory.
