The Ghana Police Service has arrested 56 suspects following a series of intelligence-led operations conducted across the Western North Region as part of its Christmas Special Operations.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 23, the Police said the arrests were carried out in several towns and villages over a one-week period, aimed at enhancing security and maintaining law and order during the festive season.

According to the Police, the coordinated operations targeted crime-prone areas and communities across the region, including Sefwi-Bodi, Asawinsos, Dadieso, Juaboso, Akontombra, Sefwi Debiso, Enchi, Sefwi Bekwai, Donyina, and Bidiem.

The Service noted that the Christmas Special Operations form part of broader efforts to ensure public safety before, during, and after the festive period, assuring residents of continued police presence and vigilance to deter criminal activity.
