President John Dramani Mahama has departed Accra for an official overseas trip that will take him to the United Kingdom and later to Davos, Switzerland, for high-level international engagements.
According to a statement released by the Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the President’s first stop will be the United Kingdom, where he is scheduled to meet coordinators of the Accra Reset initiative.
Following his engagements in the UK, President Mahama will proceed to Davos to take part in a session of the World Economic Forum, which brings together global leaders, policymakers, and business executives to discuss pressing economic and development issues.
The statement further noted that the President is expected to hold a number of bilateral meetings with world leaders on the margins of the Davos Forum, as part of efforts to strengthen Ghana’s international relations and economic partnerships.
