NDC National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia has emphasized that the ongoing NDC Thank You Tour is not only a gesture of appreciation to supporters but also a platform to evaluate government performance.
Speaking in the Effutu Constituency on February 12, 2026, Mr. Nketia highlighted the importance of feedback from party faithful in shaping policy and improving governance.
“Another reason why I am here is to find out from you how we have fared as a government in respect of the promises we made in our manifesto, so that the relevant authorities can address any concerns,” he said.
Mr. Nketia underlined that the tour helps the party stay connected to its supporters at the community level. He noted that feedback from the grassroots is crucial for improving public confidence and ensuring policies meet citizens’ needs.
“Understanding the challenges faced by our supporters at the community level will help government officials respond more effectively,” he added.
Key highlights from the tour include:
Direct engagement with local party supporters.
Identifying challenges affecting manifesto delivery.
Strengthening constituency-level party operations.
The Thank You Tour follows the NDC’s victory in the 2024 general elections, aimed at consolidating power, improving performance, and appreciating supporters who contributed to the win.
Objectives of the tour:
Review campaign strategies for better efficiency.
Strengthen internal party structures across constituencies.
Enhance accountability and transparency in governance.
Mr. Nketia stressed that fulfilling the party’s manifesto promises remains a top priority. He confirmed that issues raised by supporters would be forwarded to relevant ministries, departments, and agencies for action.
“Leaders must be held accountable for their commitments, and we encourage our supporters to remain hopeful and committed as we work to consolidate gains and improve performance nationwide,” he said.
The NDC Thank You Tour will continue across the country, ensuring that party leaders stay in touch with communities, respond to local challenges, and strengthen public trust in the government.
The tour also complements the party’s broader efforts to enhance governance and improve delivery of development projects across Ghana.
