Germany Grants Ghana €23 Million To Intensify Covid-19 Fight

Germany has made available an amount of €23 million to Ghana to enhance its response measures in curtailing the spread of COVID-19.

The German Ambassador to Ghana, Christoph Retzlaff announced this on Twitter on Thursday, April 23, 2020.

According to Mr Retzlaff, out of the amount, €13 million will be used as a first COVID-19 response to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) for the Ghana Police Service and €10 million will be used for local COVID-19 response measures by Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies.

“Germany now made available 13 Mio EUR for Ghana as a first COVID response. Providing PPEs for Ghana Police Service and 10 Mio EUR for local Covid response measures by Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies,” the Mr Retzlaff wrote.
