Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams has said that there will be more pandemics in the future which will be massive in terms of the effect on mankind.
The renowned clergyman stated that, the prediction is biblical and can be found in the books of Mathew and Revelation in the holy book.
The Archbishop has been one of the few clergymen who have maintained that COVID-19 is a sign of the end-time his numerous broadcast messages.
Though some pastors have differed from this point of view, there is a general assumption among the Christiandom that the pandemic may have some spiritual connotation. Hence, the need for the declaration of a three-day nationwide fasting and prayers by the Christian Council of Ghana, which ends today, April 26, 2020.
Speaking on Joy Time in His Presence on Joy FM, Sunday, the Celebrated Christian leader said the COVID-19 prophecy was revealed to Prophet Chuck Pierce, a colleague Pastor in September 2019.
It was expected to vanish between 9th and 10th April which is the Passover on the Christian calendar, he added, but could not do so because the world did not ‘enforce the prophetic word.’
He further iterated that God has allowed the current crisis to get men prepared for the end time and turn to him.
“Prophetically, it’s believed that after COVID-19, there is coming another crisis that will be stronger and painful than COVID-19. And these things have been prophesied in Matthew 24 and in the book of revelations that there will be pestilence and plaques and these kinds of things will be common in these end time and in the time we live in.
“It is not something you and I have control over, God will allow it to turn men to himself. Prophecy is advance knowledge, prophecy is proclaiming and declaring what God has said advance knowledge. Prophetically, it was proclaimed and predicted that this COVID-19 will come but it will Passover during Passover and Passover was the 8th and 9th of April but it’s gone pass over because for whatever reason, we haven’t enforced the prophetic word. It was spoken in September last year and I believe that God has allowed it to wake us up to get us prepared and to humble ourselves and to cause men and women to turn to their maker and their saviour,” he said.
