Coronavirus cases shoots up in Upper East region

An official letter from Upper East Regional Health Directorate has revealed that 10 more cases have been recorded in the region.
The latest confirmed cases in the Upper East region has spiked the total number of cases in the region to 18.

In a breakdown, Out of the 18 cases, five were confirmed in the Bolga Municipality, 1 in the Bawku municipality, 1 in Pusiga amongst others.

Meanwhile, as at April 26, 2020, Ghana’s covid-19 cases has risen to a total of 1,550 cases. This indicates an additional 227 confirmed positive cases.

That of the cases of recoveries have jumped to 155; an additional 21 recoveries from in addition to the 134 recoveries.

So far, the Greater Accra Region tops with a total of 1,347 confirmed cases followed by the Ashanti region with 69, Eastern, 57; Oti and Central Region with-17 cases. Northern Region has 13 cases, Upper West and East regions have recorded 8 cases each, Volta region has-10, North-East region has 2 whiles Western-North and Western Regions still have recorded 1 case each. The four regions of Savannah, Bono, Ahafo and Bono-East have recorded no cases.

Per these COVID-19 UPDATES new cases recorded, the Greater-Accra Region has recorded an additional 258 cases from the previous 1,089 cases whiles the Eastern Region has had an additional case. Oti Region moved from 13 to 17 cases and Central Region, 17 from the previous 9 cases.

President Nana Akufo-Addo has announced the construction of hospitals in some 88 Districts across the country to boost the country’s healthcare delivery system in the wake of COVID-19.
